Purpose and Benefits

The purpose of the project is to develop an Internet Classroom Training Course (ICTTC) including course materials, intended to be presented live by a local sponsoring host to K-12 classroom teachers. The purpose of the course is to instruct K-12 classroom techers to infuse the Internet into their existing curriculum to enhance the learning experiences of their students and also provide the attending teachers with the materials and strategies to teach others in their home school, the skills and knowledge they have learned in the course. The course would include a discussion of the function and capability of modern technology and technology resources and would come to assume that participating schools have c omputers which are, or could be made, available to the students whether the computers are centralized in a "lab" environment, or in the classroom, or both. The course would instruct the teachers on how to make these existing resources more functional and useful in educating then students.
